Reviews
CASH ONLY. NO CREDIT CARDS. ATM in pub charges $2.50 for transaction. Clam chowder was good. Clam strip plate and Haddock plate had generous portions but were bland and poorly spiced. Fries were greasy.
Absolutely Fantastic!
You won't leave hungry!
Everything is Fantastic!
The portions are beyond words!
The BEST!! clams and scallops!
My picture is appetizers; OMG!
I recommend the pub to everyone!
Thank You! & Kudos to the staff
The sweetest fried clams I've had in YEARS. Absolutely amazing. The onion rings are also delicious. I love how sour pickley the tartar sauce is. We planned to go around the corner to the park but ended up eating in our parking spot because they smelled too good to even wait a minute lol
Fantastic old school local pub. Great atmosphere and people. Dishes look delicious. Next time will try clam plate or turkey club. Ipswich Ale on draft is a classic.
Another Fantastic meal at Choate Bridge Pub. My Lobster Roll was Delicious amd my husband thoroughly enjoyed his baked Haddock dinner.
One of the strangest rules we’ve ever seen at a Pub was posted here. “If you have No visible wrinkles you will be carded/No out of state I.D.‘s/ CASH ONLY”
Luckily for us there’s an ATM IN the front entryway and we had visible wrinkles so they didn’t check out I.D.’s! We each had a Sam Adams Seasonal Beer. My Wife had Fries and I had a grilled cheese sandwich all of which were tasty. The place was packed but service was fast and friendly.
We will probably return but if we do we’ll bring more cash so we can try the locally brewed beer which is served here.
Pizza here is fantastic. We love the fried clams and onion rings too... really all the food is great here! We've been coming here regularly for a few years, never had something we didnt love...And always a smile from the staff here. Laura at the bar is one of many favorites we've met!
The clam chowder and onion rings were some of the best I've had. The fried clams were sweet and cooked just right. Our server was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit.
